High School
The New Hampshire Teachers of Mathematics are pleased to offer a $1000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior. The scholarship as outlined below will be awarded and administered by NHTM.
The applicant must meet the following requirements:
•will graduate from a New Hampshire high school or be a New Hampshire resident
•has been accepted at a fully accredited college or university
•plans to enroll in the certification program for middle school or secondary
mathematics education; or elementary education; or mathematics
with the intent of becoming a mathematics teacher
Selection Criteria:
•academic achievement
•financial need
•involvement in extra-curricular activities
•involvement in school and community service
Application Procedure:
1. Complete and submit the application form
2. Email or mail a copy of your school transcripts which must include class rank,
GPA, and, coding for level of courses.
3. Email or mail a copy of SAT or ACT scores.
4. Email or mail two letters of recommendation, one of which must be from a
mathematics or computer science teacher, and the writer must clearly address
this award
5. Email or mail a copy of SAR (Student Aid Report) which indicates
your EFC (Expected Family Contribution) amount

Awarding of Scholarship:
The recipient will be notified by May 31. The recipient will be recognized at graduation ceremonies at her/his high school. The award will be issued to the recipient’s college as payment toward second semester tuition.
The deadline to apply is May 1.
